Markus Rom

musician, mostly at home in the fields of indietronica and experimental ambient. Coming from the guitar as a main instrument, he likes to use synths, bass, pianos, ableton live, tapedecks, midirobots, telephones, gameboys or whatever else to generate sounds.

Besides being involved in different formations, ensembles and collectives, the essence of his musical language and affinity for experiments and unconventional approaches is bundled up in his main project Oh No Noh.

He is lucky to have worked, performed and/or recorded with artists like Liz Kosack, Andi Haberl, Hainbach, Vincent von Schlippenbach, Adam Lenox, Korhan Erel, Andi Otto, Elsa M’Bala, Midori Hirano, Jo David Meyer Lysne, F.S.Blumm, Jenny Berger Myhre, Maxi Pongratz, Jelena Kuljic, KMRU, Felicity Mangan and many others.

In different settings he performed at wonderful festivals like Fusion Festival, Leipziger Jazztage, Jazzfest Berlin, Detect Classic Festival, Alien Puzzle, Pianeo Festival, Jazzwerkstatt Bern and many more.
